About Ryan

Ryan Rushing (she/her) is a trans woman living her best queer and polyamorous life in Western Massachusetts after living in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas for most of her life.

She uses italic gothic calligraphy, funky display type, and generally whimsical letters and illustration to shape the meaning of the content in her work. Ryan’s work is highly praised, and her branding for a political campaign was called “master class in visual political communication” by D Magazine.

Ryan is also a printmaker, sculptor, programmer, and lover of horror movies, and she’s inspired by comic books, mythology, tattoos, and astrophysics. She can often be found staring into the stars at night letting random thoughts float through her brain.
